KAPOW
Synopsis

KAPOW follows Bruno, a talented young boxer whose passion for boxing collides with the brutality of his home life. In the gym, his coach teaches him rhythm, discipline, and control. At home, that fragile balance is constantly shattered by the abuse of his stepfather.

Caught between these two opposing worlds, Bruno becomes trapped in a growing conflict between the urge to fight back and the fear of losing control. As the pressure builds, his anger slowly reaches a breaking point, forcing him to choose between unleashing his violence or learning to master it.

KAPOW hits like a punch to the gut. A raw, suffocating story.

TITLE CARD: "KAPOW!" — Onomatopoeic expression evoking a loud, sudden impact, often linked to dynamic or violent actions such as a punch, an explosion, or a special effect.

director's note video

Boxing is a
sonic art form,
shaping its own harmony and dissonance through dynamic, violent motion forged by the repetition of training and style. In the trance of combat, introspection gives each fighter a unique melody.
